by William A. Smith

a comedy

TWAYHP Photo.png

Bob is an Iraq war vet who, like so many, has brought much of the war home with him. By his own admission he’s not a nice person. Betty is a soccer mom whom Bob calls a busybody. Their meeting in a doctor’s office sets them on a course toward conflict, humor, and ultimately understanding. Comedy/Drama. 10-minutes.

REVIEWS

“A very powerful play about an uncomfortable subject. You never know who you're sitting next to in the waiting room. This one truly made me think”                                                                        ~Melissa Milich, Playwright

“This short play from William Smith packs quite a punch! Two patients in a doctor’s waiting room have an awkward conversation that one of them really doesn’t want to have. Amusing, recognizable yarns are spun until a difficult truth is revealed. Two great characters and a story that will keep you wanting to know more! This would be a great addition to any festival!”                                                                            ~ Morey Norkin, Playwright

“This two-hander has stayed with me overnight. So much is packed into this short play. Two people with not much in common joust-one is a bully; the other a busybody. In the end you feel for both of them.”                                                                                                                                                             ~ Marj O'Neill-Butler, Playwright
